4-115 Mighty Tow Creeper Drive

Went and looked at a 4-115 Mighty Tow yesterday and it has the creeper drive setup instead of a hydra power. I'm not familiar with these at all. It really threw me off with the tractor not having a clutch pedal. Where the throttle is on this one it's got where you can bring the lever to the right and up or left and up. Does it work like a hydrostatic? I'm sure there is somebody on here that is familiar with these. Wanting to figure out how to drive this beast and how the creeper drive works. Thanks.

a creeper drive has a clutch.a creeper only works in low range,1st,2nd,4th. I think you are looking at a reverse a torque. they work in both ranges, but have the reverses locked out.you put it in any gear you want and use the forward/reverse lever, and it increases engine speed with travel speed.bring it back to neutral it idles and stops .pull it into reverse and it speeds the engine as it increases ground speed.

Thanks rp1555. After doing some research I realized that this tractor is equipped with reverse o torc and not the creeper drive. I have never been around either. How reliable are the reverse o torcs? And are the fairly easy to work on?

It is a Unit built either by Funk or Borg-warner. Has a torque converter and Fwd/reverse clutches. No PTO available with reverse-o-tore; I don't think there is a hole through the unit for the long shaft, so hydraulics are from a front pump.
