Repairing Seat on 77 Row Crop

I need to repair the fingers or gear teeth on my Oliver 77 row crop it is a 1950 with the rubber springs on the back and the pipe around the seat.
I have call to get new parts but they tell me that since the fingers and the support bars are welded on no one has replacement parts.
So how do you fix it from slipping by when I"m using it on rough ground. Thanks Jeff

JeffK, could you take new fingers from Korves , cut the new fingers back about 2 to 3 inches and sister them on to the old ones? I had the same issues you have but found a "super" seat and had it rebuilt.

I had the same issue a few months back. When I bought my 77 there was a 1/4 x 1-1/2 x 17-1/2" bar welded to the seat support bars (just in front of the rear spacer washer and shackle) and to the two bars that came from the "fingers". It prevented the seat from moving up and down. I wanted to "restore" it. I looked and called around, also watched eBay for a couple of months with no luck. Finally went to All States Ag Parts and found a near perfect seat assembly on my first try. Give them a try. I know there is another decent one on a salvage 77 in the Black Creek, WI yard, at least it was there 3 weeks ago.
