clutch coupler chain

I"m needing a clutch shaft coupler chain for a super
99 GM. where can I get one? Also, the coupler
sprockets are loose on the shaft splines, even with
the bolts tight. Are they usually like this? Is
there any way to make them tight.

They are almost impossible to find both the chain and sprockets. About 3 years ago I found via a "good old Oliver agco dealer" a chain and possibly a sprocket or 2. They didn't work for me as I was working on a 1953 99 gas and no parts were the same. Hope this helps. Duane o.

Thanks Duane. Are the sprockets supposed to fit close together with the chain wrapped around them? these have about 1/8" gap with the chain on. I've not seen one before, but it seems a little wide to me.

Yes the gap is supposed to be there. It's a double width chain which has no inner links. Chain is not made any more that I could find. The gap is designed for imperfections in alignment from the Trans and engine. They are not supposed to be overly loose front to back on the splines. I'd install new gr 8 fine thread bolts with stover nut and torque it to max. Should stop the moving. Farmers didn't have a torque wrench
