2-105 Gear Whine

I have the same issue in my 2-105 and I don't know it existed before. We bought after it had a fire and restored it. Seems like the whine in mine is worse under load. Looking for any answers also.

I don't know if it's related but every Oliver I own or have been on have very bad rear end whine especially at high speeds. Additionally I have also noted that I haven't seen any repercussions because of the whining.

Transmission noise can sometimes be attributed to bad cab mounts. When the rubber gets worn down and you have metal to metal contact at the mounts it will make you think the trans. is going out

Also if any of the many hyd. lines that go under the cab rub on it anywhere it can create quite a whine. Especially the high pressure power steering line.

Thanks guys
Was hoping it wasn't anything serious. I've only had it a month or so, but so far it's been a great tractor - seems to go forever on a tank of fuel.
I do remember spending a lot of time on a 77 as a kid, and you could hear it coming from a mile away in road gear.
