Is the long pto shaft that goes through the tranny and connects to the engine the same on a 1550 and 1650?

Thanks

If you look in tractor parts on this site you will see the 1550 PTO shaft listed at $288 and 71 inches long and 1650 PTO shaft at $396 and 73 inches long. Greg

I always forget that 1650 has a different clutch setup than the 1600. It's the 1600 that's only 70 inches.

Something is not right. Remember the 1550 is a shorter engine than the 1650 so the shaft in a 1650 is shorter than the 1550 shaft. Also remember there are 2 PTO shafts for the 1550, the one for the single speed unit which will also be longer than a 1600 shaft and the shaft for the dual speed units.

I just got back from milking and was thinking that 73 inch shaft was for dual speed PTO. Here is my PTO shaft out of my 1650 parts tractor with dual speed PTO. Its just shy of 74 inches. Greg

I was wanting to know that because no information is given on shaft length for 1555 dual speed PTO. I should know because input shaft is longer in 1550-1555 than 1650-1655 so that 1650 dual speed PTO will not work in my 1555 without longer shaft. I was wondering how it was going to get oil without lubrication tube assembly? Thanks Greg
