1555 flywheel bolt pattern

Is the flywheel bolt holes on a 1555 diesel offset, 2 of the bolts are a little tight, the rest are fine, we run out of time and couldn't try to turn it a half a around. Thanks again.

Yes they are by a slight amount. Put the engine at TDC and then set the flywheelon so the timing marks line up. 69-72 pound torque. You have my piston dimensions?

Not yet John we've all been busy this week, maybe tomorrow, Thanks again for the help.

Hey John the book also says the crank should have dowels in it to help align, neither of my cranks had them, is this a problem?

The flywheel itself is a "dowel fit" to the end of the crank.

Next time, mark the flywheel with a paint pen or a puncture wound punch when you remove it so it goes back on in the same position.

Remove the bolt and washer from the front crank pulley. Turn the engine until the keyway in the pulley is straight up, install the flywheel so the TDC mark lines up with the pointer. The bolt pattern will line up.
