I am trying to find out info on a white 185, and saw a post from Dean Barker, who claimed to be a power train engineer for white, so am trying to contact him, if at all possible...

Hey, we have a White 185 that I like a lot, but it has one odd thing about it: fifth gear is actually a little slower than third gear. All other gears seem to be about normal for whites. We have 9 whites and have had lots of olivers and whites over the years, but I"ve never seen one geared like this. Any idea how that happened? We bought the tractor used.
