Engine Removal for clutch replacement on White 80 Am. FWA

It is time to replace the clutch, throw-out bearing and pilot bearing in our American 80. We have read the manual, but it does not address the removal of the engine. Our tractor has the 3 speed power shift unit. Is there a PTO shaft to remove from the rear like other Oliver/White models? Or is the PTO shaft in sections? I know our model uses the chain couplers.
Any help would be appreciated. Also, where can I purchase a lens cover for the front lights? We will be double checking our manual. Thanks.

I looked in my White American 60-80 parts manual and shows pto drive shaft so I think you need to pull it. I have White American 60 with broken front lens cover also, I have looked for one without success. The part # for lens cover is 30-3534391 mine only has a small hole in it and was going to see if I can have a new one made. I have had a lot of trouble with the diff lock leaking hydraulic have you? Hope this helps . Greg

We have no trouble with the Diff. Lock. We did replace an electric actuator for the FWA. That is it. Thanks for your help and reply. We will need to study this situation further before we get too ambitious.

YES, shaft has to be pulled from rear before any attempt to pull
engine. Remove 4 bolts from p.t.o. clutch pack and pull shaft
out. What color is your AMERICAN? I have a silver 80 FWA w/
cab and a yellow 80 FWA open station. They both started life
out as 2 wheel drives.

Doug, mine is green and white and only has about 1800 hours on it. Do you need front lens cover? I was going to see if mine could be duplicated at plastic mold factory in Oneonta N.Y. If someone has a better idea speak up. Thanks, Greg

P.S. I need the fender plate that the light bolts to part #30-3480968. I was hoping to take it to a tractor show when I get her cleaned up! Greg
