1600 diesel into an 880

im sure this has been covered..will a 1600 engine directly bolt in to an 880?..i have an 880 diesel chassis and trying to figure out if I need to just try to find a diff tractor or if the engine I found still in the tractor will fit before I buy and have them remove it..thanks for the advice
 
deene, engine is same cubic inch 265. Only difference I found was rpm 1750 for 880 and 1900 for 1600 that made 2 hp more. I found this info in C. H. Wendel's Oliver Hart-Parr book. Hope this helps. Greg
 
Yes it will in fact if the 1600 is also a diesel they use the same sleeve & piston set. There are differences. Questions/, post an e-mail
