problems with remotes on a 1800-B

Please bear with me here, I am a novice on both tractor repairs and posting questions.

I have this 1800 B series that has developed a problem with the remote outlets. The tractor has a front end loader on it that operates with the remote levers. It has been set up like this for years and has worked fine. The loader has 2 way cylinders for the lift, hooked to the inside lever (left outlets) & 2 way cyliders on the bucket tilt, hooked to the outside levers (right outlets).

The problem started when a friend wanted to try pulling a 3 bottom plow with the tractor. We originally unhooked the bucket tilt lines from the outlets for the 2 way cylinder on the plow but due to the way the cylinder sat on the plow and the way the outlets are pointed, the hoses would have been too short to turn the goofy thing. We hooked the bucket tilt hoses back up the way they were and lifted the bucket a bit and unhooked the lift hoses (the lift cylinders did not leak down, thankfully). Hooking the cylinder for the plow, everything worked fine. He started plowing and being as neither of us knew what we were doing, the plow started to dig too deep and got to the point he could barely get it to lift high enough to get it back out of the ground. I believe at this point, the lever likely was held against the lift stop too long.

Since that time, with the front end loader hooked back up the way it was originally, the inside lever just barely will lift the loader off the ground and moving the lever the other way, the loader will not go down. Using the outer lever for the bucket tilt, both directions work but when going one direction also causing the lift arms to extend and raise the bucket. Obviously, I am getting pressure into the other circuit. The only way I could find to lower the arms back down was to repeatedly, lightly bump the inner lever just a bit. The arms would lower an inch or so each time but the lever would have to center again and bump it again to get it another inch down.

The power steering and the 3 point arms work fine so I am assuming the pump is fine. I have made sure the fluid level was correct and took the couplers (both male & female) off the left outlets and they seem fine. I am thinking that we must have popped a seal or o-ring when the lever was held against the stop with the cylinder fully retracted but as to what & where to look for, I have no idea.

Am I on the right track? Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I need to do to fix this? I am needing your help & advice since I am lost.

Thank you

It might have broken the key on the hydrolic lever in side on the fork. I think its the same as the 1550 inside on the levers that move the valves for the hydrolics. Its a small cast washer that goes on the shaft that holds the fork for the hydrolic lever to mover the valve in and out. It about $15 for that cast washer (or key) and a pain to put in. I had one broken on one of my 1550s and it was doing the same thing as yours, It would work then not work. You can get ahold of the other lever and pull it back slowly and feel how it moves then try the other one and if it moves easer or feels funny or goes farther then that washer or key is broken. John, I finally got the readings you asked for and sent you an email today with that information but it just bounced back as undeliverable. I did resend through another email account but I am not sure you will receive it. Let me know if you do not get anything.
