the 570 is alive!

I haven't been this pumped up in a while. Finally got the new relief valve in the oil pump, new fuel filters and fuel in it, new o-ring on the control unit linkage thingy ( thanks mr. Schwiebert) and a new seal on the transfer pump. She fired up and runs great. 25lbs of oil pressure at an idle. Just need mr heisey to get home from the summer show so I can get a few odds and ends from him so I can put this old girl back to work. I was told it probably needed main bearings, glad I didn't start there! It's been sitting for 5 plus years in the lady's barn I bought it from.

That sounds great. Don't those old Hercs sound sweet. Easiest starting, smoothest running Diesel I have ever owned.

My neighbor said the same thing. Definitely smooth. Once I got fuel to the pump it does start very easy.
