I am overhauling a 1650 gss that had a Super 88 gas engine put in it. I am haveing a hard time getting a connecting rod for it. The part number is 109107A and the word FRONT is stamped in it. The rod is bent in three different places. The guy drained the water in the tractor before last winter. It must have air locked and not fully drained out.
Head was cracked and it must have leaked water in the cylinder. Hydrolocked and tried to start and bent rod.
I know antifreeze is expensive, but it is cheap insurance. If you can not afford antifreene, at least put RV antifreeae(propylene glycol) in the tractor.
