2255 hydraulic pump squeal

Replaced my leaky hydraulic pump with a rebuilt one and now I'm getting a squeal noise in the pump like it's got air in the system. I did bleed the valve above the filter and that didn't help. That's before the pump anyways. Can't find a way to bleed the lines after the pump. Heard someone say that the system is self bleeding? Been running it for 15-20min intervals to see what happens. Pump doesn't get hot, just really warm and 3 point is jumpy. System squeals louder when using hydraulics. Any help from you pros would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks,
Mike

By chance did you see what kind of pressure you are getting at remote valve in the back of tractor? I make up a gauge with a gauge from an Oxygen regulator, 1/4 inch coupling, 1/4x6 inch long nipple, 1/4x1/2 inch reducing bushing, and Pioneer Male end. Check to see the pressure and if the needle jumps around on the way up. I usually set the pump with the valve on the pump to 2000 lbs. or a little more.
It does sound like air in the suction end. Did you change filter? If so make sure it seated right and it is tightened up pretty good.
I have a 2255 and will check in the morning to try to see where it could suck air and post back.
I have never had that problem changing pumps, but there is always a first time for everything.
By the way is the steering jumpy? Also, is it a steel or aluminum pump?

Thanks Cas. The pump is steel (originally off a White 2-155 I believe) PSI set to 2100 on the pump. I hooked up the Chisel plow to move it and the hydraulics are jumpy. Steering is jumpy also. I'll see if I can put together a gauge and check pressure at the remote. Thanks
