Would like a pic of how the fuel shut off cable is run from beginning to end. (On a diesel obviously). Also the actual throttle control. The parts book says there's a spring on the control and also shows the cable, but doesn't really put together what the finished product looks like. Thanks

I don't know if this helps. I don't know if it is right or wrong. It has been this way as long as I have owned it and it all works.

Is the other end attached to the dash somewhere? I thought I read somewhere these are supposed to shut down when you push throttle lever all the way up. I'm not sure though.

On the super we have the throttle lever starts/stops the engine. But I think it supposed to have the cable shut off from the factory.

originally a super or 570 should have stop cable on top left of dash.it is a pretty large diameter knob that i doubt you could get anymore, that being said some sort of choke cable would work.both of mine are just set up to shut off with the throttle all the way up.I'll try to take a pic. tomorrow of what I believe is the factory fuel shutoff knob.

Tractor Supply has one for $12.99 it has a red knob that says "Pull to Stop" cable is 72" long I have used them. Go to Tractor Supply on line and search for "Stop Cable" I've tried posting a link but this site changes it so it won't work.

My 570 Super stop cable is like the one pictured except I don't have the long extension spring attached at the front of the pump back to the throttle linkage.I think I'll add one to see what it does.Be sure if a cable stop is added that the little barrel clamp is tightened away from the pump lever enough, just like in the picture,so's not to restrict it's full open movement.Just last week a fellow Cockshutt puller complained his tractor wouldn't rev up to full speed and was gutless.I looked at it and found the barrel clamp kept the lever from opening up enough.I Adjusted it back and what a difference. Now I have a friend for life.

I also have The older model diesels(40 and 50)and they do shut off by pushing all the way up on the throttle lever which over-rides a spring loaded stop and shuts them down.I do like the 570's cable stop better as I can't shut it off by mistake when going to idle. But they are all great!
