Was looking for the dwell angle for my 1944 oliver 70. Its got a distributor. I cant find anything apart from valve specs and plug gap. Any help would be awesome. Duane o.

I doubt dwell angle was a problem at those rpm, so not given as a spec. Dwell angle is only of use when converted to time, really. No farmer had a dwell meter in those days; many probably didn't use feeler guages often let alone timing with a timing light. The timing light for my Oliver was a spark plug rested close to the flywheel!

On a six cylinder, dwell should be attempted at about 30 degrees or just slightly more. On an eight cylinder, 24 to 30 should be about right. 30 was always what you wanted on a V8 GM vehicle that had while-it-was-running adjustable points. A four cylinder should be about 30 to 34.
However, a few degrees off won't matter in your case. Like mentioned, decades ago, a farmer was lucky to have a feeler gauge.
