2 Oliver 60 parts tractors

one is a 4 speed and the other a 5. Whitch would be the best to restore? Only have enough parts to make one.

Shirley, one would inspect both transmissions and make a sensible decision based on that information? Like, err, use the good, or better, one?

Just the same for the choice of which engine to use, etc, etc?

I had both. I Like the 5 speed much better. You do know the 5 speed has two 5th gears, don"t you?. One 5th gear in high range, and one 5th gear in low range. Nicer shifting lever as well. The 5 speed also has the equalizer pedal connecting the two brake peddles. The older 4 speed oliver 60 has a short strait shifting lever. The 5 speed has the longer crooked shifting lever. Both tractors have two speed belt pullys. Not sure if PTO is two speed or not(Never checked). The older slower 4 speed oliver 60 was slower for steel wheels. The oliver 60 is a real gas miser. Very good on gas. Better than my lawn mower(Garden tractor).

I still need (2) drawbar assy 'side' supports. These are the ones that laterally connect the drawbar assy to the diff housing. Also would like to find a belt pulley. Email me if you have any of this stuff. Thanks.
