Hydrapower Leak

I have a hydrapower in a 1650 that leaks at the top fitting for the loop hose by the filter. It does not leak from the fitting itself, but from the round piece that the brass fitting screws into. Is there a way to pull this out and fix this leak or do you have to tear into the whole unit? The picture below shows what I'm talking about. Thanks for any information.

Never been in one...yt, but the "round piece" looks like a reducer. Can you see any threads on it! May be able to get that out and replace it .

That is the collector that pressure feeds the direct drive clutch. There is an O-ring that seals the collector and the cover.

Larry, I cannot see that there are any threads on it. I did try to back it out with the fitting, but it doesn't move. It does "wobble" a little in there, so I'm thinking there must be an o-ring or something that is failing down in there...

Like John said that part is the collector ring.  The hose sends pressure oil in to engage the direct drive clutch.
The inner end of the collector ring goes around the clutch hub that is on the output shaft.  Your problem is that the output shaft bearing clearance to too great.  The output shaft has too much movement causing the stem of the collector ring it move in the "o" ring wearing it enough to leak, it's not suppose to move.  The bearings are tapered roller and have a spacer and shims between them to adjust the preload for the bearings.  To correct the leak you are going to have to pull the engine and HPD and redo bearing preload at the least or perhaps replace the bearings.  Don't redo it without replacing the seal rings between the collector ring and direct drive hub.
