min. deck heigth for 310 engine?

can someone tell me what the min. deck heigth is for a 310 turbo block , or how much can be surfaced off a block without causing pistons to pop up to far , had a blown head gasket that beat the head & block & liner to death , would like to have surfaced & all counter bores recut without have to install counterbore repair sleeve in # 5 cyl , really dont want the bill for both repairs , a simple head gasket has turned into a major overhaul because the last guy should have kept his finger off it , thanks for any help , my book says nothing about deck heigth

I think you can go .015 without problems. I got one we took off .028 to get it flat,but had to notch pistons.
