1650 hydraulics

I thought I had the ultimate baling rig with a 1650 and a NH 851 round baler. But I have a problem in that the back door will not stay closed as I am baling. I switched the remotes around kept tapping the lever but always at a half of a bale it would come open. Got frustrated and put my Ford 5000 on it and it worked just the way it should. So I know it is not the baler. I have no problems with hydraulics on the 1650 for the 3 point works fine and on the haybine it lifted and stayed up with no problems. Where should I look and what for. Thank you

I had the same problem with my 1650 and NH Baler switched to the set of remotes next to the seat and sometimes it would still do it for the first couple bales I'd keep hitting the remote to keep the door closed also helps to hit the outside set
too. That was last year and suddenly the problem went away and haven't had any problem so far this year I'm thinking maybe a piece of something got into the spool and now its out.

Hold the lever back an extra couple seconds to lock the gate fully.had the same problem on my 845 baler

Your 1650 has an interlock system on all four of the remote hoses.  The spool valve has nothing to do with blocking fluid movement once the valve is returned to "N".  All the components are located in the cover under the seat.
Each outlet has a check ball and seat to trap fluid.  There is also a thermo relief valve for each outlet.  Use a pressure gage plumbed to a male coupler.  With the system warmed to operating temperature check each of the outlets, pull the lever in the appropriate direction and release, they should all hold close to 2200 psi almost indefinitely.  Note which of the outlets loose pressure.
Each of the seats have an "O" ring to seal between housing and seat.  Ball must match the seat with out any trash present.  Thermo relief valves are inexpensive, I would just replace them.
Last place to look, there are six connectors between the cover and main housing, each connector has an "O" ring at each end that could possibly be leaking, look closely at those that are directly above the outlets for hoses.  You don't have to have very much leakage to allow that little cylinder on the baler door to unlatch.
