overhauling my 310 turbo out of an 1855 , looking for any tips you guys my have as far as updates , changes that should be made, things to check out extra close, ect.. , also would like to know the differance between turbo & non turbo liners , has anyone ever used one piece pin bushings to replace the problem 2 piece bushings? thanks for any advice

You should use the 1 piece bushings. I am not sure if the 2 piece are available anymore anyway. Also 12 point rod bolts. Is this an oil cooler block?

Don't forget to line bore the block and balance the entire rotating assembly. Both were way out on a 1955 I rebuilt.

it has an add on cooler mounted in between the filter & filter housing , do you have any part numbers for one piece bushings , have looked them up in my FM book but every number i come up with that is close size to use in discontiued , also has anyone ever tryed putting an oil cooler on the turbo return line sence heat from turbo was the problem to start with , something simiar to the hyd coolers infront of rad. engine was blown up back in the day , i know that so most upgrades have been made like 12 point rod bols , cooler , ect. but it never hurts to make things better yet , be nice to have a bigger oil pan , 2 gals. isnt enough because of heat problem , started with a blown head gasket now its a major overhaul because some jack@ss put 3 non turbo liners in it , block needs a counter bore repair sleeve , head was beaten at sealing ring & so on
