Engine oil looks "grainy" in my Oliver 60 Row crop

I have noticed that the engine oil in my 60 row crop has taken on a grainy appearance. Not milky, however I suspect water is getting into the oil as I don't know what else would give it a grainy look.
Is there any way water can get in the oil supply other than the head gasket? Were these motors fitted with pressed in sleeves? I would appreciate some advice before pulling the head, which will probably involve broken manifold studs etc. The tractor runs perfectly, doesn't smoke or get hot, and has no visible water leaks or cracks anywhere.

Take the valve cover off and leave the head on. There are soft plugs in the head that can leak. Next if no problem is found remove the pan and see if any of the sleeve seals are leaking,

I ran the tractor again today.... got it hot... and noted some bubbles in the radiator. The oil has now turned milky. I will check the soft plugs first, but am afraid it may indeed be the head gasket.
Head gasket kit includes oil pan gasket, so that will come off too before pulling the head. If the sleeve seals leak, is it absolutely necessary to pull the sleeves?
Thanks for your replies.

You said: If the sleeve seals leak, is it absolutely necessary to pull the sleeves? The sleeve sealing O-rings go around the outside of the sleeves on the lower end. Yes you need to remove the sleeves.

If you do not use the tractor much you can drain all of the
antifreeze and replace it with engine oil, This will cool the engine
just fine and will save you the time and trouble of replacing the o
ring in on the sleave. I have run a 77 loader tractor this way for
years. I just drain some oil out periodically and add it back to the
radiator.

Thanks for saving me a ton of work. It was the soft plugs in the cyl head. Tractor is back together and all appears well.
