Hi, I have an Oliver 500 diesel that I"ve just gotten running after 20 yrs of sitting. I cant seem to get the 3 point hitch to work on it. I drained (replaced) the fluid and cleaned the pump screen (it was milky). Also I adjusted the nut (plug hole on top of pto ), so that the nylon washer was loose by touch when the lever was in the up position. Still nothing. I"m at a loss now. Any advice would be great. The tractor was parked because the steering box came apart. Its believed that the 3 pt worked when it was parked but nobody seems to know for certain. Thanks for any help

The shaft that the center link hooks to. All the way over on the right hand end of it,there's a short lever. It's probably sticking up. Flip it down toward the back 90°.
 
Thanks rrlund, I"ve tried that and still nothing. I am beginning to wonder if there is a check valve or bypass plugged.

I hadn"t dug into it further.... busy stuff kinda got in the way. Thank you for the response
