Help with a Head Gasket

Ok guys, need your help - round two on head gasket. Last fall, I finished up a restoration on dad"s Oliver 770 (gas). Ran it for an hour, re-torqued head, and still had antifreeze seeping externally at the head/block seam. Ran it a few hours more and the leak never got better. Parked it for the winter and now back at it. Checked the crankcase and had no antifreeze in the oil after sitting! Still seeping externally only when warm. Pulled the head and here are pics of the top of the gasket and the head. The gasket is a Fel-Pro with the number 7411 on it. Block and head where fully worked over at the machine shop. The pistons are M&W high domes (M&W Number AP-81 with a 3 9/16" bore) that where in the tractor and where it like new shape so we just installed new rings and honed the sleeves. Nothing looked terribly wrong to me on the head gasket but im not an expert. Was it the correct gasket? Should I just put a new one it and see? Planning to use new head bolts (grade 5 or grade 8 ??) and use the Permatex copper spray (one or both sides of new gasket)? Anything else other than the usual of checking sleeve protrusion, clean holes in block, oil threads on bolts, and re-torque when warm? Sorry for the long post - thanks!

Why should just putting in a new one make any difference? It would appearthat changes need to be made.

Pics are not that special. Lighting may not be even or the middle pots might be running different. Only deck side of the gasket shown.

When you say both head and block were worked over, do you mean checked/skimmed for straightness? Presumably not the deck? Were the liners removed?

Did you follow the gasket manufacturer's fitting instructions implicitly? Follow the workshop manual implicitly?

Checked torque wrench?

Sorry, no help with the gasket number, but doubtless several will be along with their experiences on how to fit that specific gasket or another

Had one about 20 years ago that would blow head gaskets after an overhaul. I used Hylomar on the last one and never had another problem

If you send me a phone number and or e-mail I can send you a chart I made up for head gasket checks. As far as coating the gasket I think you are missing the point.

I can try to take better pics of the gasket if that will help. To answer a couple questions, the machine shop cleaned and magnafluxed block and head. I know the head was planed and totally rebuilt. I don't remember for sure if the block had any machining but I don't believe so. Motor was torn clear down and sleeves out. I followed the Oliver factory shop manual. Gasket set had no instructions but followed manual. Only thing the manual says that I did not do was to soak the gasket in water for 30 minutes to reduce settling. Do you guys recommend this? Did some looking on part numbers online and csme across a Victor ad that talked about "brand f" gaskets for some ag applications not having 3 layers of material? On the gasket copper spray seems like many on here recommend it but some don't?

J my email is jimfitzge at gmail .com We talked once last fall on it and I thought you mentioned maybe not the right gasket?
