I recently purchased a Nice Oliver 1750 diesel. Runs great. I have run my NH 310 baler with it and works great. When its cold, it has about 20lbs of oil pressure and as it warms up slowly goes down to about 7 lbs. When i was baling with it today, it ran about 7 lbs the whole time and when i wound it up to drive it home on the road it didn't really go up at all. Should I be worried?

Any info is greatly appreciated!!!!

Yes: You should have about 20 pounds at idle and 40 at higher RPM's. Check it before you have problems. You have a telephone number?

Cold, mine is about 60-70psi with 15w40 oil. In the "normal" temp range, it reads between 30-40psi, depending on rpm.

The oil pressure can be adjusted with spring shims, but you might have worn mains or a failing oil pump, both of which warrant concern. Better to find the cause and address than take your chances by simply upping the oil pressure.

First thing I"d do is make sure the gauge is accurately reading pressure and make sure the line between filter housing and gauge is clear.
