1850 for roundbaling

Just wondering if an 1850 will run a 4x4 roundbaler. Thanks for the feedback.

Good Heavens yes. I ran a high density 4x5 with a 1550.

I new it had plenty of hp probably to even run a bigger baler but i didn't know about the 540 rpm pto.

To be honest,I never saw one that size that wasn't 540. There might be a few 5x6s with 1000,but if there are,I'm not familiar with them.

Hp won't be a problem but hydraulic pump flow might be. I have a 1870 White same as MM955 and it would not run my Welger RP15 round baler. Not high enough gallon per minute pump.

Running either a Vermeer 605 and/or a 554 Vermeer baler with 1850 tractors. no problems.

AN OLIVER 1850 will run just about any round baler out there. ive seen 4x4 balers rund with 40hp tractors. i have a neighbor that uses an 1850 and pull a 12t disc mower conditioner and a large vermeer silaige special round baler. no problems

Thanks for all the feedback guys, but the deal fell through. Looking at a ford 5000 diesel now. Any input? Things I should look for, will it handle a roundbaler heard the brakes aren't the best on those fords and the weight pushes them around. Thanks agiain
