Pto drive shaft oring

When sliding drive shaft in the rear end of tractor. Where does the oring go? Does the shaft slide in all the way and then does the oring go on stub spacer and also slide in. Then snap ring.

There is a groove for the o ring behind the shaft, insert the shaft then put in o ring, little stub shaft goes in and that goes through o ring to make it seal, then in goes the snap ring behind the stub shaft. Make sure the grooves are clean so everything fits in good.

One thing I'd add,make sure the o-ring is thick enough. You just about have to have one from Agco. One out of a common assortment is too thin and will leak.

I have the oring from Maibachs. When I took the shaft out there was no oring. Read the I&T and service Manual and it did not explain how to put it in. I appreciate the feedback, I will try to put it in tomorrow night.
