Rebuilding the lift pump on a 1956 Super 88 Diesel because all the fuel in the tank ended up in the crankcase over winter. Got a repair kit online and installed the new diaphragm in. Now for the valves in top of the pump. The kit came with the "one piece" valves. My lift pump is the older style with the valves that have a little spring and a octagonal shaped thin plastic-like valve. One of the springs is gone and the other very thin. Does anyone know of a source or substitute for these? Ago said NLA. Anybody got the top cover of a lift pump they would sell that is the newer style with the retainer that screws in to hold the vavles in place?
