You answered my post about the 1550 water pump a few weeks ago. How did you get the pulley off the shaft?

Support it and press it off. You might want to measure down to the shaft to see how far it is on.

places like auto zone have a rental program, you end up paying nothing to use them. they have a pulley puller that may work, should.

Bearing splitter. Even then,be very careful. I was afraid of breaking one one time,so I dropped it at the dealer and asked if they could put a kit in it while I ran another errand. When I got back,they had broken it.

Thanks for the tips. I have a 12 ton press from HF, wouldn't budge. I try it again with a little torch.
