Working on the front axle. Are the two large nuts on the front end of the stay rod supposed to be tight? Where can I get new bushings for the axle pivot pin?

Can someone tell me how to adjust the tension on the lift control lever. It wants to return to raise on it's own. The parts book shows a nut on the shaft but it looks like it's inside the bottom of the left hydraulic control lever. Do the levers have to come out to adjust it?

Mike: you do not need to remove the handles. Also make sure that the friction disk is not broke or damaged. Yes both large nuts need to be tight. There is also a bushing in the back of the wish bone. Questions? J/

Thanks, John. I bought a 2" socket and took them off today. It's been running loose for a while, the lock washers were imbedded into the lugs. The axle pivot pin bushings are very loose so it's all coming off anyway to replace the bearings and seals in the bolster.
