Oliver step suggestion

A few weeks back I was working on my 1600 PTO and I was needing some parts so I called Maibach Tractor to get some things I needed I asked them if they had any used steps like they used on a 2255, they said they made a reproduction step, so I bought one. Mounted it on my tractor, at first it looked like overkill but man is easy to get on and off now! there are two steps, the first one is lower than my original step and then the second one is about half way up and wide. Best money I ever spent on this old dog. If your still using the one single step I recommend this for any tractor, bolts right on, The mounting bracket actually has 4 holes. I guess the bigger tractors were set up for that. I'm thinking of trying to drill a couple more holes in my tub. I wonder how hard it would be? Either way I used some good grade 8 bolts to bolt it on with. I sure am glad I got these, it was getting hard climbing on and off to feed with. If anyone is looking for something to improve your tractor, this step will do it,

Well due to this topic I figured we should just get it on our website. http://parts.maibachtractorparts.com/product_info.php/products_id/518

We're starting to get serious about making more parts available. We recently started working with a company that does beautiful CNC laser cutting and forming. I do the computer aided design myself, giving us the ability to tweak and adjust to make parts that are perfect replicas of the originals, or improved versions when needed. I usually jig and weld the parts myself. We just finished up steps for the 50 series tractors that came out beautiful. I'm currently working on 55 series steps, and a revised triple step version of 2-85/88/105/110 battery boxes that I also want to be able to install on the Oliver tractors.

The current batch of 2255 steps that we're talking about came from another fabricator. The next batch will be a slightly cleaner design, CNC laser cut and formed, and hopefully incorporate a optional handrail, and adjustable/removable 3rd lower step.

Volume discounts could be arranged.

Keep a eye on our website for new products.

Hey BM-
I called 2 days ago looking for White American 60 parts. Attached are pics of the right wheel guard, in the manual they call it a mounting plate - this is where the light assembly would secure to. I need this along with the other parts I mentioned, any luck? Hope the weather wasn't a setback. Thanks, Greg

I'll try to get a couple pictures posted this weekend. I think that's great about adding more parts. Anything to keep these old tractors going.

Greg,
No luck on the light panel, the only one's I have here are the version that is welded in the fender, and they have the round hole in them for a worklight instead of the square hole you need.

If I had one for a pattern, we can draw it up, and have it laser cut and bent.

Call me about the other parts when you get a chance.
