Another 1650 question

I didn't want to hijack the 1650 question below.
That 1650 on the back cover of the new Hart Parr Oliver Collector appears to have one piece side panels. How long did they use those? I thought they were 3 piece?
But then my 1550 has 3 piece and up until last summer I thought they were all that way too.

I think the 100 series had the 3 piece side panels and the 50 series had a 1 piece side panels so the early 50 series might have left over 100 series parts used on them. All 3 of my 1550s have 1 piece side panels on them so who knows. Bandit

I think if you look real close it is a three piece. It's hard to see the seams in the picture but the bolt pattern looks like a three piece.

If you look close toward the bottom at the rear,it looks like the bolt that goes in on an angle to anchor it. On the three piece, there are two bolts near the top of that lower panel.

Yup you're right it does have the hook bolt. I went and looked in the 1650 brochure that that picture come from and some of the close up pictures are three piece and some aren't

One of the main points at the Growing O show in 1964 was the ease of servicing the new 50 series with the 3 piece side panels. Now one of the first 1650 gas tractors we sold did not have the pad for the alternator mount but had a welded bracket that bolted to the block. We never had a 1550 around there with 3 piece hood sides but by the time of the last 1550 tractors we had many used 1600 and some 1650 tractors.
