1755 PTO

I am replacing the quad rings on my 1755 PTO unit. I have 2 questions.

Do I have to take the whole PTO unit apart to do this? I have the unit off the tractor right now.

If I need to take the stub shaft out, how do I do that? My manual just says remove it, but I see no way of doing that.

Be sure you replace the seals on the clutch brake piston, it is known to cause leakage from hydraulic system to transmission.
