we are in need of good advice and help. having problems with hydro for a couple years now. probablly need a pump but would like another opinion. 2 years ago going down road suddenly disk dropped and tore up road. switched hoses to other side raised disk but very slow and wouldnt keep it up unless holding lever up. tryed reversing hoses,no change. hoses were on left, went to right. also steering was affected. was told to pull top cover, had blown the disk out of the pressure saftey deal. there are 4,have a taper point. changed all 4,however all looked good,no effect. when deadheading left lever and turning steering wheel, wheel turns better, but always harder to turn to right than left. took priority valve apart and cleaned,[this is on left side under seat,2 bolts,1 line to steering],little better. also exchanged ram on disk. pulled pump pressure relief spring and tapered valve?lots shims there, help some got tractor home. drained oil, changed filter, replaced priotity valve with new old stock part out of new york, old one was one piece, this one is a two piece, filled with oil. we farm around 100 acres with it last year, things seem to work good, steering a little weak yet but good enough, well now the darn thing wont hardly do any thing, left lift lever we dont use,it feels wrong, like it has back pressure, hook hoses to that side, will lift slow, but when let go of lever, implement falls fast. right side will lift and hold but only at wide open throttle, and hardly any steering. thats our story, sorry for spelling and being so long but could use any help or advice. chuck and melissa brammeier coulterville illinois

I sent you an e-mail. Let me know if you did or did not receive it. Part of your problem is the check valve(s) in the cover leak.
