1755 PTO Driv Shaft Removal

I need to remove the PTO Assembly on my 1755. The first step is to remove the drift shaft. Can anyone tell me how long the drive shaft is?

I'd say it's around 5-6 feet. Goes all the way up to the flywheel.

Have one leaning in the corner of our shop, and it's just as tall as our big pry bars.

Thanks for the response. I didn't realize I spelled drive 3 different ways until I submitted the post.

Is that shaft the same diameter as the shaft that sticks out of the back of the tractor?

there is an O ring & a plug that needs to come out, then you can screw a bolt in end of shaft. there are about 3 sets of splines that you have to work your way past. better pick a day you have lots of patience!
