Is there an o-ring on the control unit to seal the shaft to the housing? not the o-ring on the outside that seals unit to pump. I am getting fuel in lube oil

The control unit has 1 O ring that seals the flange to the body. There is no O ring inside, just close fitting honed parts. Are you sure the lower head O ring is not leaking also? Head seals and control unit O ring is all most need for fuel in oil.

On the Cockshutt built tractors, 40-D6, 50-D, 550-D, 570-D, and 570S Diesel, that use the American Bosch PSB pump, their is a seal on the transfer pump shaft. I have these on stock here.

If your tractor has a lift pump driven off the camshaft, sometimes the diaphragm in that leaks fuel into the crankcase..
