If I had a dime for every lap I've made pulling my Dad around the barnyard trying to start tractors, I'd be a rich man! Glad your son still likes to help.
 
Neat to see. That old 88 even has the seldom seen "flat" injection lines. Those must not have been in production very long.
 
That dash and serial number tag is off a Super 88. (1956 model) I think you put the 0 down twice. The hole that lines up with the top of the hydraulic unit is where the engagement rod would go to engage the belt pulley on A super series. The engine number will be stamped on the right rear mounting flange.
 
I will look tomorrow as tonight I have mtg. after work. Sounds like my tractor is one of them Johnny Cash 1 peice at a time rigs :)

88 frame, S88 tin, motor tbd etc. Its all good because its all OLIVER!!
