couple new toys

went down to the LeSuer pioneer power on friday and found a White Yard Boss GT-1000 to add to the collection cool thing is my Ag teacher from high school has samething so we have twins, and went to local consinment auction on saturday and happend to notice this old throw rack had an Oliver 760A running gear under it so I snatched er up. Weird thing about the running gear is back half has Oliver decal and front half has Electric decal. (I know they were made by Electric) I've only seen two Oliver running gears total in person (first one somebody wanted it more then me) and both were decaled like this. Were they all like this?

I saw that mower there and saw it was more than reasonably priced- I just didn"t want to have to deal with getting it home! Now you can go into the custom snow blowing business!!

In the 1960's my dad did a lot of custom filling silos for friends/neighbors. He used only Oliver/Electric running gears, and had excellent luck with them.

The different models he had were 650 660 760 several 5016's and several 5026's. The two 5016's were painted green and as best as I remember they had both the Oliver name as well as the Electric name on them. I know for a fact the other models were painted red and all of them had both names on them.

the one downfall is the transaxle case has a big hole in it but I have some time before the snow flys again, I hope.... I was gona have trouble getting it home as well but the fella running the spot were it was sitting is a good friend of mine so I asked him if he would have room for it when he packed up.

Hey OliverNate- I seen you got a 760 running gear, I'm working on putting one together that I tore apart 7 years ago. Something seems off with the steering, was wondering if you have (or if you could get) some pictures of the steering, both sides and under the toungue?

I know some stuff is missing, but nothing serious.
