55 series transmission filter

What is your secret to removing the transmission filter on the '55 series? I'm on 30" rows so wheels are in tight. Can't get enough swing on a filter wrench.
an you find a filter wrench that fits on the end? Do you stick a punch throgh it?

I've got a filter wrench that goes on the end with 3 fingers that clamp down as you turn the ratchet. Works great for those filters.

Where did you get it, do you know? I found a strap wrench that is tough enough but it is still awkward. I got one off that way but the other tractor I'm just crushing the filter. Very frustrating.

Can't remember, either Fleet Farm or an auto parts store.

Take those red gripper pads off and hold it on while you snug it, and keep pressure on the ratchet. Some people complain about it but I had good luck, espescially with those filters on the Olivers
