2-85 wont start

have a 2-85, owned since new, had the pump redone last fall, used it maybe two hours before put away for the winter. now this spring it wont start. have primed it a dozen times, have fuel to the injectors, doesnt smoke, will fire with a tease of either. turns over good. any ideas where to start? thanks

Sometimes you have to tow the things to get them to pump enough fuel to start. Sounds like something either gummed up in the injector pump over the winter. Towing it and maybe a snort of either might do the trick. If you get it running I would recommend a can of diesel fuel conditioner added to the tank and let the tractor run for a couple of hours before shutting it off again. I would check the sediment bowl and made sure you have a good flow of fuel out of the tank and put a new fuel filter on also just to make sure you haven't got a fuel restriction that allows enough fuel to prime but not enough flow to start. I'm still betting you have something gummed up in that injector pump though.

thank you donald for the advise, we did get it out, pulled it for 300 ft and it did start, rumor around is others who didnt start there tractors since fall also had trouble, seems oil supplier got ahold of some poor fuel and it gummed up injector pumps thanks again
