This is reportedly a 1951 model. There are 2 rather heavy short levers on the right side of the transmission just forward of the brake pedals. It has no belt pulley mechanism showing. What are these for? Thanks in advance

The one closest to the brake pedals should be for the HI/LOW transmission and the other I'm guessing is to engage the belt pulley. When you say that it has no belt pulley mechanism showing, do you mean there is no pulley, or what exactly? A picture sure would help us answer your question.

The vertical lever is for the creeper gear. Shift it when stopped. Horizontal lever engages the belt pulley. There should be an L shaped rod fastened to the eye at the end of the lever. You should see the flange that the pulley mounts to. It will turn when clutch engages.
