Pretty straight rig out of OH. Delivered Sunday by Ben Cleaveland. RC 88 with S88 curtains. Given narrow dirt roads I live on I drove it home. Drives like it has power steering - very nimble rig. Stopped by the local cemetery and did a lap for some tractor buddies on the other side.

Rig is kind of a cold blooded beast and has a skip in motor. Next up is to find reputable diesel shop and injectors tested as well as injector pump. Thinking not enough atomization to ignite the fuel. Heard these 88's are hard starters due to head design - what is your experience?

Buff out the paint, add Diesel decals and this rig is one of kind in my neck of the woods.

my super 88 diesel starts hard, you need a big battery, and if its below 50 it won"t start without a wif of either. mine pops/misses for the first minute or so till it warms up and clears out but shes a work horse. I have a 880 diesel as well haven"t used it cause it needs clutch/powerbooster work but that one starts harder then my super 88

Her is my 1956 88 , she starts okay when cold, and always runs smooth . When warms she starts instantly, but has low oil pressure , but that never stopped her from pulling !!

You have a good tractor --enjoy

Lot of camber as it is FL. Many roads sloped to account for heavy summer rain fall i.e. hurricanes. Some roads are crowned but only slightly.

We know have a decent road grader in the county that understands water in the ditches, dirt on the roads. Here is my road into the house last summer after a wet week!
