1600 utility

Finally got this little 1600 utility home I saved it from the bone yard it looks a little rough but it's not that bad once you get a good look at it put a carb on it cleaned the points some fresh gas and it fired up and runs pretty good does anybody know how many were built

I thought I read once that they were practically non existent.

I have 2 diesels and sold a gasser in February. I don't know exact numbers but I'm guessing 3-400 were produced. I had heard that there was less of them produced than the 1550 utilities.

Thanks for the reply my next question is are they special fenders or are they a regular Oliver 1600 fender the ones on mine are in pretty rough shape

Same fenders, they just sit them down farther on the fender mounts. Any off of a 1600/50 or 1550/55 are the same. Also some late 770's had them. Good luck finding a good used set!
