Don't recognize those numbers , but if the tub has machined flat spots with bolt holes for attaching implements , then its a Super. Check out the pic. of my super 88 diesel .

are you sure you posted the right numbers? if anything go under the rear end or the top of the head it will have the date casted on the parts and if it was casted in november or december it was built the next year. our super 66 is like this, its a 55 tractor but the rear end and head were casted in nov.and dec. of the previous year.

58 201 is the tractor serial number, 801 is the powertrain number.  Beginning with the 1955 production, serial numbers run sequential regardless of model.   The first tractor built in 1958 was serial number 56 501 & last was 71 317 or 14 816 total.   Divide 14 816 by 12 months, that's 1,235 per month.   Your tractor was probably built in February of 1958.  Should you really want to know the exact day it was built and where it was shipped request a "Build card" from the Floyd County Museum in Charles City, IA.
801 powertrain code is the most common one for Row Crop tractors

Date on back of block where the fuel tanks mount says 1957. Block casting numbers is 1KE100E. I believe it's a 1958 Super 88.

Here is what I found on tractordata.com

Super 88 Serial Numbers:

Location: Right, rear side of main frame and transmission

1954: 6-503
1955: 10-075
1956: 36-774
1957: 43-901
1958: 56-580

The date stamped into the area of the crankcase that you described is the month and year that the engine was assembled at Waukesha, WI.   Those numbers are not easy to read as they were not stamped with much vigor.  There should be a month ahead of 1957.
As we had determined, your tractor is an early 1958 tractor it makes sense that the engine was assembled in late 1957, then shipped to Charles City.

B A Star, the month is 11, all these numbers are clearly stamped in. Thanks for the info.
