Went to a sale and always end up with something you don't need but oh well, its a gt1650 yard boss, not sure on year, did white actually make it I know Jacobsen made the white and blue whites, and Oliver's and MM, not sure on this one, always kinda wanted one, any info on it would be great, need a lever to raise and lower deck and think that's it.

I think those are what the MTD 990 evolved into. Those were not the typical MTD junk, they are a solid piece of machinery. The 990 was sold under an myriad of brand names. They have an odd size rear tire, the ag treads bring good money.

Believe its an MTD built unit- I have a half dozen or so White mowers in various conditions- neat item that typically don't cost a whole lot.

We had a 1650 or maybe it was a 1655 back then. We traded a 112 MM for it...probably not the best plan. These were built by MTD. They are a single cylinder Briggs engine with a direct shaft hydro transmission. The tractor was a pretty tough ole brute, but the mower deck was not the best. Still, though it was a good rig...we traded it for a 1650 Cub Cadet. The White came out in 1974-75 to match up White's Field Boss line...they were called "Yard Boss."
