Does anybody have a block for a 1555 or know where I can get one, mine spun a main bearing and can't be repaired. I can be reached at 870-761-3230, Thanks for any help.

You pull the panic button too quick!. First of all when you clamp the cap on and torque it what is the diameter of the bore. also WHAT IS THE BLOCK CASTING NUMBER? Did you measure the bore with a dial bore gauge?

Assuming there are no other options in terms of repairing yours you could try Maibach's in Ohio.

Yes we used a dial bore gauge and the hole that spun is 25 thousand off side to side and 40 thousand off up and down compaired to the others that weren't spun also the thrust part of the block is worn really bad. My brother has a friend that align bores blocks and he recommended that we find another one. The casting # 185320 160918A bottom line looks like a backwards N 891. Thanks for any help.

How much is it off if you clamp a different cap in it? Also does anyone down there build up worn blocks? Have you had the crankshaft Rockwell tested?

J. I didn't try another cap, I don't know of anyone that can repair the block and I haven't had the crank checked yet. Please stay in touch.
