Any one know if a 1800 PTO shaft can be made to work in conjunction with a over/under out of 1650?
The 1800 shaft is too large to fit thru the main drive shaft I.D., so even if I bolt the pto drive spline from the 1800 onto the 1650, I would have to bore the input shaft from the 1650 hydralshift, which may make the wall thickness too thin to take the torque? Only other option I can think of is to somehow splice the end of the 1650 pto shaft onto the 1800 shaft, which is going to be difficult to say the least. Any one ever put the 3 speed in a 1800? Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
