I purchased a solenoid for my 1855 and at first glance it looked like a perfect match. When I finally got around to installing it I noticed that the solenoid should be rotated 90 degrees on its base. Is the a way to rotate the inner parts of the unit in relation to the outer part? I really don't want to stop cobbling stuff together. Thanks

35MT on 1855 should use the the Delco 1115510 solenoid with "big" studs at 12 and 6. Sounds like they sold you a 1115541 which is also for a 35MT but Massey usage. If you haven"t bolted it up they should swap you.

Solenoid for starter? Manifold heater? Fuel shutoff?
Pictures would help.
