880 clutch shaft help

I replaced the clutch shaft on my helical gear 880. While I had it apart I decided to replace the housing tube also. The manual says it would need to be pressed into the through out bearing. I was able to get it in by hand. After starting the tractor the tube will intermittently catch on the shaft and chirp/spin and stop. Is there anything I can do without taking everything apart again? What did I miss?
Thanks

I guess my first question is does the tractor have a power booster? If not just remove the bell housing with the engine in the frame. When it is out I would use some locktite on it.If it does have the power booster then the engine is going to be removed to repair it. J

Thanks J, the tractor has a belt pulley and I have had is out. To make sure I understand this I need to Loctite the tube to the through out bearing.

Thanks

You need to locktite the tube to the bell housing. The carrier for the throwout bearing needs to slide on the tube. Fill the cavity in the carrier with grease before you reassemble it too. More questions?
