Looking at a junked 880 for sale. It has helical gear trans. would like to know if anyone could help me determine what ring/pinion it has. The specification # is 48 1402 could not read the serial #. My son is looking at this for a puller. thanks in advance for any help!

for pulling you need one with spur gear transmission

Nothing wrong using a helical gear rear for pulling we have one and has held up for over 10 years. Mr. Bush knows our tractor very well and has pulled it at the natl show at Williams Grove. Sorry I can't help to decipher the code for you and good luck and enjoy building another puller.
