another plow question

What was the difference between the oliver-white model 548 plow and the model 549 plows? Thanks for all the responses a few days ago on the oliver-white plows. You have been a great help. Larry

I have a White 348, and have the manual for it, and the Oliver model. Other than the color it appears to be the exact same plow. The only difference is the Oliver manual has pictures of Oliver tractors, and the White uses White thractors! I think the Oliver 348 is a lot more rare than the White model from what I have seen when looking for plows for sale. I did miss an Oliver 348 SAR last fall before I bought the White SAR.

Does you manual say it was a 16" or 18" width cut,or 18" or 20" cut. the reason i'm asking because I am looking at model White 549 but the people don't how check for width settings. I don't want to drive 300 miles and find out it can't be set on 16" width. 16" is what I want. Thanks Larry

Hope these pics help. From both manuals.

If I remember correctly, the 549 was available as a 16"-18" backbone only. The 548 was available as 14"-16" or 16"-18".
